Affiliate Disclosure
The Tampa Angler is a participant in affiliate programs that compensate us when readers click through and book charters or purchase gear. This page explains exactly what that means.
Programs we participate in
- FishingBooker — when you click through to a charter listing on FishingBooker.com from this site and complete a booking, we receive a portion of FishingBooker's commission. You pay the same price either way — there is no surcharge for using our links.
- Captain Experiences — same model: we earn a commission on completed bookings made through our referral.
- Amazon Associates — when we link to fishing gear on Amazon, we may earn a small commission on resulting purchases. This site is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.
What this means for our recommendations
We recommend charters and gear based on local reputation, captain quality, and fit-for-purpose — not based on commission rates. If a captain who isn't on FishingBooker is the best choice, we'll tell you so and link directly to them.
Local sponsorships
Eventually we may accept paid placements from Tampa-area fishing businesses — tackle shops, marinas, charter operations. Any paid placement will be clearly labeled as such and will not influence editorial coverage of competitors.
Questions or concerns
If you ever wonder whether something on the site is editorial or paid, email kenny@thetampaangler.com and I'll be straight with you.
